Phillip Schroeder
PresidentPhillip has been in customer service most of his life. As a young man, he started out as a furniture delivery and installation person. Within 1 year he was promoted to installation manager. He later moved on to sales where he really excelled, breaking sales records and making hundreds of very happy customers. He later was promoted to store manager. Eventually he was made general manager of 5 stores. Moving to the Coachella Valley in 1988 Phillip joined an interior design firm where he once again broke sales records and again making hundreds of ecstatic customers in the process. Within 2 years he made his way to sales manager. In 2001 Phillip was hired by the original "Palm Desert Fireplace" on El Paseo (the person who possesses that name now has absolutely nothing to do with the real Palm Desert Fireplace) Within 1 year sales had increased 312% and the store was revamped, reinvented and reinvigorated. Phillip was known for his design prowess and superior customer service skills. in 2002 Phillip was made store manager and customers could not be happier. In 2010 the actual owner of Palm Desert Fireplace had decided to hang up his hat and Phillip acquired the same location that he knew and loved for over 12 years and "The Fire Place" was born. 5 years later The Fire Place is better than ever. Phillip is always on the hunt for cutting edge fireplace designs. Often Phillip comes up with never before seen items such as fireplace frames, new mantel designs and unusual fire features. Phillip acquired a factory that now makes a line of his wrought iron doors, screens, tool sets, mantel legs, and outdoor fire features. In 2012 Phillip was awarded a provisional patent and copyrights for his new line of sculptures. Currently there are 4 patents and 72 copyrights on these items. Phillip is looking to the future for high end boutique stores in other parts of California as well as Arizona. As Phillip loves to say " another day in paradise"
